1. What we send, and why

When you generate or rewrite a follow-up, the app sends the following to generate your message:

• The notes, messages and other text you enter in the app (for example call notes, your last message, or a prospect's reply).
• Optional details you saved in Settings: your first name, company, signature and calendar link.
• Your choices for the message: type (email, text or LinkedIn), tone, length, and timing information such as the last-contact date and follow-up cadence.

This information is used only to generate or rewrite your message. It is not used for advertising, profiling or analytics.

2. How it is sent

Your request travels over an encrypted connection to a relay service we run on Cloudflare. The relay forwards it to OpenAI's API and passes the generated message back to the app. The relay does not store or log the content of your requests.

3. Third parties

• OpenAI receives the text described above in order to generate your message. According to OpenAI's documentation, data sent to its API is not used to train its models unless the developer opts in, and we have not opted in. OpenAI may retain API requests for up to 30 days for abuse and safety monitoring, and longer where the law requires. See OpenAI's data controls and privacy policy.
• Cloudflare hosts our relay and carries the network traffic. As with any internet service, technical information such as IP addresses passes through its network to deliver requests. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Apple handles subscriptions and payments through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying App Store analytics. See Apple's privacy policy.

We do not use any other analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services, and we do not share your data with anyone else.

4. Your permission

Before the app sends your text to the AI service for the first time, it asks for your permission and explains where the text goes. If you decline, or later withdraw permission, the app will not send your text and the generate features will not work. You can withdraw at any time in the app's Settings, or by deleting the app.

5. What stays on your device

• Your recent history (the notes and messages from your last 50 generations) and your Settings are stored only on your device. You can delete history in the History tab, or by deleting the app.
• A counter of how many free generations you have used is kept in your device's Keychain, so it may remain if you reinstall the app. It contains no personal information.

6. Retention and deletion

We do not keep your text or build a profile about you. Because requests are not stored or linked to an identity, we cannot look up or delete an individual request; OpenAI's retention period described above applies to what it receives. 7. Other people's information

Your notes may mention other people, such as clients or prospects. Please only enter information you are comfortable sending to an AI service, and avoid including sensitive details such as financial account numbers, health information or passwords.

8. Children

FollowUp AI is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Support emails

If you email us, we use the information you send (such as your email address and message) only to respond to you. We do not share it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date above, and we will tell you in the app before any new sharing of your data begins.
